Please help us prevent injuries and save lives on the Navajo Nation as we kick off our year end holiday campaign today on #GivingTuesday 2020—the global day of generosity. After a year of tumult, tragedy and uncertainty, we can help, we can hope, we can heal and we can give—if we do it together.
Today we are asking you to support us in continuing our mission in reducing the number one killer of children, teens and young adults on the Navajo Nation—traumatic injuries—most of which are preventable. If you can’t give today or before the end of the year, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others whose hearts are with our Navajo young people.
ThinkFirst Navajo
For the past 15 years, our ThinkFirst Navajo Injury Prevention Program has been preventing injuries and saving young lives through education, inspiration and honoring Navajo culture and traditions.
ThinkFirst Navajo, a chapter of ThinkFirst National Injury Prevention Foundation, teaches school children and young adults how to reduce risky behaviors that could lead to traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries or deaths. Through our “Buckle up Navajo Newborns” initiative, we also educate parents on the importance of using properly installed car seats and buckling up their precious children on every ride. As many of you are aware, the rate of disabling crashes and deaths on the Navajo Nation connected to vehicle accidents is significantly higher than the national average.
