Navajo Youth Embrace Life on the Rez
This past summer, Navajo youth put in more than 1,000 hours of physical labor, restoring miles of trails and completing maintenance projects across the Navajo Nation. They also pedaled for miles on Reservation roads…gained valuable skills in basic woodworking, first aid, and bike maintenance…and learned about the history and geography of the Navajo Nation. Helping Navajo Youth Say “YES” to Healthy Living
For more than 20 years, Tom Riggenbach of NavajoYES (Youth Empowerment Services) has been leading Navajo youth and families on a unique adventure that incorporates outdoor activities, education and community service.
