Two hundred and twenty three students at Lincoln Elementary School in Gallup, NM got a reason to feel safer while riding their bikes this summer: free new helmets The New Mexico Brain Injury Advisory Council (NMBIAC)—a program sponsored by the New Mexico Governor's Commission on Disability provided the helmets. ThinkFirst Navajo distributes safety helmets to Navajo school children in memory of neurosurgeon Erich Marchand
Last week, our Eve's Fund ThinkFirst Navajo Injury Prevention Program distributed and fitted 169 certified safety helmets to students in K-5th grades at the To'Hajiilee Community School in To'Hajillee, NM. This large helmet distribution was supported in part by family members of Dr. Erich Marchand and was dedicated to his memory. VIP Cecelia Fred receives national honor
Cecelia Fred, was named as a VIP (Voice for Injury Prevention) of the year, by the ThinkFirst National Injury Prevention Foundation at their annual conference in New Orleans on April 28, 2018. ThinkFirst Navajo donates bike helmets to the Diné Bike Project
Last week, Jodee Dennison, MPH, director of ThinkFirst Navajo—Eve’s Fund’s Injury Prevention Program— delivered 50 more new bike helmets, in 3 different sizes, to Tom Riggenbach, executive director of NavajoYes in Window Rock, AZ—capital of the Navajo Nation.
