At the 2019 Shiprock Marathon, we ran, volunteered, and gave a massage to a hero—Navajo Code Talker, John Kinsel, Sr. Again this year, Eve’s Fund Team members actively participated in the 36th Shiprock Marathon weekend May 3-4, 2019. by Barbara Crowell Roy, Eve's Fund president At this year's Shiprock Marathon in early May, I was honored to meet Navajo Code Talker, John Kinsel, Sr.—and, to give him a massage! The whole event happened quite serendipitously and is one I will cherish forever. Mr. Kinsel served in the 3rd Division of the US Marine Corps during World War II from 1942-1945.
